Description

Width defines the lateral dimension of the coil as delivered to the customer. Width is initially defined as the width of the ingot, it is increased due to lateral spread during breakdown mill and tandem mill rolling, and is reduced during edge trimming and, of course, during slitting to final, specified width.

Automatically at the final slitting operation.
